We've got baby birdies

We discovered two different bird's nests in two different places. The first one is in a big pine tree we named Frank (why we name our trees is another story). We think these are robins because the eggs were blue. We haven't been able to see the mom because the nest is so buried in the tree that every time we try to see her she flies off before we get the pine branches separated.

These little guys (or girls??) are so ugly they're cute!

The second nest is sitting in our rain gutter by the front door. As you can see mom stays pretty tight on these eggs. We showed these pictures to dad and he said this is a mourning dove.

It will be fun when these eggs hatch too so we can watch their progress. Yay, life is pretty fast paced at our house :-)

How fun and you have great bird/egg photos. You could take your science project to the next level of competition. This is a post those grandsons of mine will be looking at.

There will be no bird shooting at our house....or golf balls, for that matter.
